Learn to Mountain Bike with GOride

The Yarra Ranges has an extensive network of trails for cycling, walking and even mountain biking. Many of the Yarra Ranges trails loop from local parks and infrastructure. GOride Yarra Ranges uses these unique trail heads to deliver a unique mountain bike coaching program, lead by qualified AusCycling coaches, for ages 4 – 16.

The GOride program offers skills-based progression from learning fundamentals on the flat to more advanced cross-country and downhill trail networks. The Yarra Ranges trail networks allow for progress without pressure.

Lessons are held on Saturdays during the school term at the Warburton Bike Park, Wesburn.

What is Mountain Biking?

Mountain biking is off-road, rough-terrain bike riding. As a sport, mountain biking requires strength, endurance, balance and critical thinking to handle both their bikes and the trail they ride.

Mountain biking uses mountain bikes that are specifically designed to be durable and handle uneven terrain – particularly downhill, rocky and forest trails with tight turns.

Enjoy physical activity in the great outdoors with the exhilarating drops and turns of mountain biking.

Enrolment Information

Age Group: 4-16 years

We’re excited to announce that GOride Yarra Ranges is now open for enrolments via the Active World app or website. 

To enrol in the GOride program, please refer to the below instructions.

  1. Download the Active World App and select ‘Sign Up’. OR visit the web portal to continue via deskptop browser.
  2. Use the facility code: YARRA
  3. Create your quick access code – 4 digits. 
  4. Select ‘Book Weekly Lesson’.
  5. Select to ‘Add member’.
  6. Tap on the member name whom you would like to enrol in the GOride program.
  7. Select to ‘Add Program’.
  8. Select the activity type ‘Bike activities’ and the program as ‘GOride Yarra Ranges.
  9. Tap the program and select your preferred class day and time.
